Mexico is facing this pandemic time just as other countries in the world. The first months of this pandemic were difficult for the tourist sector, but the effort of the health staff has made some states able to open to the tourism again. Quintana Roo is one of those states.

Cancun is one of the most important touristic centers of Mexico, here you can see some of the most beautiful beaches you can enjoy.

Although the idea of coming to the caribbean sounds good, I know you may be wondering if it is really safe to come to Quintana Roo, mainly when this pandemic is on the prowl. Well, fortunately, the Mexican Secretariat of Health has made great progress on combating Covid-19. One of the strategies that has been implemented is the use of an “epidemiological traffic light”.

The epidemiological traffic light and its colors represent the use of public space in accordance with the risk of contagion of COVID-19. These colors change every certain time and these are different in each state.

At this moment, we are in the orange color in Quintana Roo. It means that the beaches and hotels can have a 60% occupancy and some places may be closed.

Remember that we are in a pandemic; you can visit Cancun and the other beaches around, but using the recommended safety measures for your care.
